There are a number of fairly easy hiking trails, such as the Sentierone; but over and above the easy trails, the Verzasca Valley offers a broad range of excursions of all types, such as the hike from Frasco to Lavertezzo through the Val d’Agro, or the Via Alta della Verzasca, a unique trail perched between the mountain and the sky, unlike any other, with overnight stays in huts at high altitudes.
Our region boasts a number of high- altitude huts, so that one can organize hikes lasting several days, including climbs to the mountain peaks, such as the Pizzo Barone, the Pizzo Mezzodì, the Cima di Gagnone, the Cime d’Afra, the Poncione Rosso and the Pizzo Vogorno.
