The region is full of restaurants, cafes and wine cellars, where it is possible to savour both Mediterranean cuisine and special local dishes accompanied by excellent locally-grown wine.
Higher up the Verzasca Valley, however, the available accommodation is generally in the form of bedrooms annexed to family-run restaurants.
In these establishments – and indeed in all the valley's other wine cellars and cafes – visitors can enjoy a marvellous dinner with others, sitting out on a terrace with a magnificent view or indoors beside an open fire.
