The Verzasca Valley is not only a huge attraction for walkers and bathers but also an interesting winter centre for those keen on practising sports in general.
Sonogno has a winter-sports centre, offering ice hockey, skating and cross-country skiing (8 km).
There are also winter-excursions.
In summer, this centre is transformed into a meeting place for playing tennis or bocce and for staging regional musical events, such as the Verzasca Country Festival.
