Traverses to Sponda hut via Passo Piatto in 5 h and 30 minutes
to Barone hut via Cabioi in 5 h and 30 minutes

Excursions Passo Piatto (2108 m) Lake and Valley of Chironico.
Climbs Pizzo Mezzodì (2707 m) – Cima Bianca (2612 m) – Madom Gröss (2741 m).
Natural attractions Terraced alpine pasture surrounded by high peaks. The Passo Piatto area is home to the now rare yellow gentian (Gentiana lutea) which flowers in July and August.
