Cognóra hut

Stone roofed masonry hut. Now a two-storey construction, the hut was originally used during summer pastures.
Lighting powered by solar panels and wood- and gas-fired kitchen with running water.
The dormitory sleeps 20 and is equipped with mattresses and blankets.
There is a large table set in front of the hut which is ideal in good weather; the views are magnificent.
The location is particularly beautiful – and romantic – when there is a full moon!

Excursions	Passo Piatto (2108 m) Lake and Valley of Chironico.
Climbs	Pizzo Mezzodì (2707 m) – Cima Bianca (2612 m) – Madom Gröss (2741 m).
Natural attractions	Terraced alpine pasture surrounded by high peaks. The Passo Piatto area is home to the now rare yellow gentian (Gentiana lutea) which flowers in July and August.
