Rivapiana

If you love long romantic walks, try the beautiful lakeside walk known as the ‘Rivapiana’ which goes from Tenero (the Mappo area) to Locarno. This is an extremely pleasant walk of about 5 kilometers closed to traffic, only for bikers and pedestrians. Along the walk are many rest areas and refreshment areas along the lake shore.

The return trip back to Tenero can be made on foot along the same trail, alternatively there is public transport: regular buses and trains or – in the Summer season only – a free boat service operating between Tenero and Locarno.
